A Guide To Gift Basket Making In Simple Steps

This is a topic I have wanted to write about for a long time as it is near and dear to my heart. I am a cheap baskets aficionado because I use them a lot and I am going to explain how I use them to make beautiful baskets as gifts. This post will actually be broke into two different posts so we can keep them easily digestible.
I have always used beautiful baskets for the craft projects that I like to do for others and I have found that they sometimes can be made in ways that often impress our friends. You will see, they will impress your best friends also.
What I do is search for ideas in magazines. Then the most creative part begins, I set for a moment and use my brain to think what I might change from what I have seen and liked so that I can use the elements and make them substantially different in the process. By doing so, I will have created a masterpiece that is completely different by putting together pieces of what I saw in magazines.
After I put together my ideas I saw in magazines that appealed to me at the moment I choose a beautiful basket for this project and the best part is it gives me a beautiful basket to hold my creation and it is simple to explain, then make and deliver so there is no additional work. My friends like that. It’s easy.
I find a inexpensive beautiful basket, they are everywhere. Then I will choose something to cover inside the basket because this is another easy way to dress it up. This covers the ugly parts of the ugly cheap baskets and it will look great! No one is even aware of what a ugly basket we started with because the cover is glued in place. I use a old shirt that has gone beyond it’s usefulness but is still bright.
I buy cheap Hollister shirts and when I am done with them, I always find another use for them so someone else can get the benefit of the shirts I disguard. In this case unless someone disassembles the beautiful basket and in the process completely destroys the beautiful basket the secret of the ugly basket covered with an bright shirt is safe.
